We’re pleased to announce that Darien McCoy is joining the staff as Director of Children and Youth Formation. Darien is a recent alum of the Episcopal Service Corps, and is one of the lead counselors at Procter’s summer camp. Here’s Darien’s greeting to all of you!
My name is Darien McCoy and I am so excited to be the new Director of Children and Youth Formation at St. Stephen’s. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone in the Parish but first I’ll tell you a little about me.
I am 22 years old. I am originally from London, Ohio. I assisted and led Sunday school and VBS at my family’s church for almost two years! I moved to Columbus during my sophomore year of high school. Then two years after graduating High School I decided to work as a camp counselor at Procter Center for two summers and served in Brendan’s Crossing, an Episcopal Service Corps community in Cincinnati, in between those summers. Before starting my second summer at Procter I got confirmed into the Episcopal Church at the 2019 May Convocation. During my free time, I love playing video games with my siblings, reading, playing the piano and organ, and spending time with my dog, Peaches!
