Affordable housing is an endemic need in Columbus, and we at St. Stephen’s know many people who struggle to find housing. Some of our unhoused friends are kept on the streets simply because they don’t have valid ID cards, so the drive to make housing more affordable and the hope of creating a Municipal ID system for Columbus are intimately linked. On October 13 we will be inviting city officials to a public forum at St. Stephen’s, where we will hear the stories of unhoused people and investigate why its so hard to create more affordable housing in Columbus.
