Lindsay Barber is back with NSI as Volunteer and Special Programs Manager, and sent the following items as an update:
Starting Monday, July 13th, NSI has received the wonderful gift of becoming a rental assistance application site! We will be processing rental assistance applications for those in need of one month’s rent, from the emergency food and shelter board.
With this in mind, we have built a new office in the pantry! We’re finding office furniture (even used) to be outside of our current budget. We are looking for one large-ish office desk and a roughly 3×3 or 4×4 square table (a height people could sit at). Both pieces would go into the office where rental assistance applications will be processed. If anyone has one laying around in their building somewhere, we’d happily pick it up!
ALSO! We are still looking for volunteers to pick up weekly donations from retail stores. Many of our regular volunteers are currently sitting out due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If anyone has the ability to pick up from a retail store once per week for us, please reach out to me and I’ll get you started!
