Join us for an Eastertide Earth Day-Plus Zoom Group Hosted by Elliott Bush

It’s the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Environmental organizations all over the world had been planning mass events to celebrate and to press governments to take action. Then came COVID-19 and “shelter-in-place” orders for the whole month of April and maybe into May. But there are still ways to celebrate and to act as Christian environmentalists.

One of the most radical and influential Christian documents on the climate crisis is Laudato Si’ by Francis I. You have probably heard of it, maybe wanted to read it, or even have read it. The text is free online: https://tinyurl.com/o6sowft If you would like to talk about it with others, chapter by chapter, for six weeks during Eastertide, and come up with climate actions we can take even while stuck at home, let me know: elliottjbush@icloud.com or text me at 740-398-6997.

We’ll take over the Thursday evening spot Father Karl used during Lent, meeting at 7:00 p.m. beginning April 23 (the day after Earth Day). I’ll send a link to a Zoom meeting to every one who responds. If you want to participate but haven’t used Zoom before, let me know, and I’ll send you instructions.
