It’s Time for House Meetings!
The BREAD Organization is built on the listening process — a process in which member congregations meet to catch up on BREAD’s issue campaigns, and, more importantly, find out what problems are keeping members up at night. These problems (not solutions) are recorded by House Meeting leaders, and eventually translate into new areas of concern, research and action for BREAD.
St. Stephen’s is planning three House Meetings: one for YAMS on Thursday, September 13th, and two others for the rest of the congregation; on Sunday, September 23rd, and Sunday October 22nd. Both Sunday gatherings will be held in Hobson after the 10:30 service. Watch the announcements for more information.
Meanwhile, one of BREAD’s issue committees asking for some help. The One ID committee is preparing to present a petition to city leaders about the value of a municipal ID. You will find a QR code below, which will let you sign this important petition, presented by one of BREAD’s partners in the One ID campaign, the Central Ohio Worker Center. It’s easy to do, and will help individuals who lack identification to obtain a verifiable form of ID.
