One of our wonderful parishioners, Claire, suggests that we spend Lent making and decorating crosses, which we can then use as part of our Good Friday liturgy. Her idea is simple. Pick any of the types of cross shown on the graphic below, and make one out of whatever medium you’d like. If you’re a sewer, you could make one out of fabric. If you make flower arrangements, you could figure out how to incorporate a cross in one. Paint, draw, use found objects, make crosses out of clay — use your imagination and your talent. Then take a picture of the cross you’ve made and email it to Karl.
