Saint Stephen’s is proud to host “New Beginnings,” a show of art made by refugee children. The pieces were created in a class at Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS) by children ages 5-22. Artist Jeremy Hollon taught the class and curated the show. Eighty percent of the artists are Afghani refugees. For some of the students, painting was the main way in which they could express their experiences. The show expresses their feelings of leaving home, and their hopes for finding their way in American culture.
A price list for the individual pieces is below.
The sanctuary is open from 10-3, Tuesdays through Fridays, and on Sunday mornings.
