BREAD Listening Session on October 18th

The BREAD Justice Ministry Team of St Stephen’s – Rae Fellows, Mignonne Whitlow and Norm Wernet – invite you to a BREAD listening session on Sunday October 18th. We’ll begin during the coffee hour after the 10:30 service, on Zoom and in person.

Our congregation is a part of something bigger than ourselves in Franklin County. During the next month, more than a thousand people from congregations across the county are attending meetings like this one. In this coffee hour, we will listen to one another, talk about what is going on in Columbus and Franklin County and our work for justice. Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” guides our commitment to justice.

Our goal is that we will learn more about each other by discussing two questions and organize our community of faith as we enter another year striving to do justice with the 40 other congregations of BREAD. As background for this meeting we have a link to a short summary below of what BREAD is working on and why our justice ministry is important to the whole community of Greater Columbus.
